We have an opening for a Head of Strategy – Planning & Performance APAC to join the Corporate Strategy team positioned within Bupa’s Customer & Transformation Office.
This position is available as a 12‑month parental leave contract, full‑time hours (with flexible working arrangements) and may be based from our Melbourne or Sydney offices.

Key Responsibilities
Report to the Director of Strategy & Delivery APAC and lead & manage the APAC Strategy team.
Shape and drive the management, reporting and forecasting of Bupa’s strategy and KPIs across APAC.
Oversee key strategic planning processes, including the 3‑Year Plan (3YP) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
Coordinate commercial problem solving and address specific issues related to strategic execution (e.g., Enterprise Trade, Enterprise Roadmap).
Prepare and deliver regular reporting including monthly CEO/ELT/Control Tower reports, ANZ / Global Board reports, and APAC Business Performance Committee (BPC) / Global Chief Executive Committee (CEC) reports.
Maintain an elevated level of influence and visibility across APAC senior leaders, particularly within Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Directors, Enterprise Delivery Office (EDO), Group Strategy & Transformation teams, and the APAC Office of the CEO and Board Secretariat.
About You
We are seeking a tertiary‑qualified Senior Strategy Leader with experience in strategy engagements and/or corporate planning & reporting roles.
Required Skills & Attributes
Commercial & Financial Acumen – Deep understanding of financial impacts and business value drivers to inform sound decision‑making.
Customer‑Driven Insight – Strong analytical skills and commercial intuition, paired with a deep understanding of customer and consumer behaviour, including management of APAC business performance insights, reporting and KPIs.
Decisive Leadership – Proven ability to think both strategically and operationally, taking early corrective action to keep performance and projects on track.
Influential Senior Stakeholder Communicator – Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to simplify complexity and inspire confidence across all levels.
Strategic Planning & Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Proven ability to develop strategies, work across functions in large matrixed organizations, and navigate a dynamic, ambiguous environment.
