About The Team The Facilities and Capital Infrastructure function delivers statewide support for CHQ's built environment, including asset strategy, facilities management, capital works, Hard FM contract oversight, property and leasing, and building engineering services. The team works closely with clinical and corporate partners to ensure facilities are safe, functional and designed to support exceptional patientโ€‘centred care.

About The Role

Deliver effective strategic leadership in the development and delivery of facilities and property management across Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CHQ), in accordance with the CHQ strategic plan objectives and organisational values

Provide strategic advice to the Executive Leadership Team and senior management, to support and facilitate decisions and outcomes in relation to the effective and efficient utilisation and management of CHQ facilities

Support the Executive Director Corporate Services/Chief Finance Officer through leadership, planning and management of the CHQ Facilities Management function including:

Building Engineering Maintenance Services (BEMS)

Asset Strategy and Planning

Capital Projects and Minor Works

Property, Accommodation and Leasing Management; and

Facilities Management (FM) Contracts Administration

Provide management over the full lifecycle of CHQ's contracts with private (commercial), government and other sectors, including the strategic and tactical management of the Hard FM contract(s) for the Queensland Children's Hospital (QCH) Campus with the selected provider(s)

Develop and maintain productive professional relationships with key internal & external stakeholders

Actively participate and contribute, as a key member of CHQ Finance and Corporate Services senior management, to the development and maintenance of a high-performance, collaborative, team culture that supports the delivery of health care services
