The Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC) manages the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), one of Australiaโs most loved and visited sporting venues. Each year, the MCG welcomes over four million visitors and hosts more than 70 major events. The People and Culture team at the MCC supports 180 permanent staff, 1200 event day casuals and 350 volunteers all based at the MCG. An newly created opportunity has arisen within our team to recruit a HR Systems Specialist.
As the HR Systems Specialist, you will take the lead over the Dayforce platform, overseeing its configuration and optimisation to ensure it is secure, scalable and perfectly aligned with our organisational needs. Your expertise will be vital in driving an excellent user experience by actively monitoring system performance and implementing enhancements. As the Master Troubleshooter, you will be the central point of escalation, triaging and resolving technical issues.
Reporting into GM People and Culture, you will play an integral role in improving, standardising and automating people processes across the employee lifecycle through our HRIS system, Dayforce. Your key focus will be to troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes and work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely resolution and system stability. You will provide technical support around configuration, workflows and reporting. The role also involves maintaining system documentation, supporting UAT, release management, change control and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with business stakeholders.
This role will suit someone who is tech savvy, enjoys process improvement, has the ability to problem solve and is curious about how AI and automation can improve our HR service delivery through our system.
Key responsibilities
Provide day-to-day operational and administration support of Dayforce
Work with the People & Culture team to identify opportunities to automate, standardise and simplify HR processes using Dayforce and AI
Support Dayforce configuration, UAT and scenario-based testing managing system updates
Champion system optimisation by identifying opportunities to enhance business processes using Dayforce capabilities
Contribute to system governance ensuring data quality is accurate and up to date
Actively explore opportunities to embed AI and automation into HR workflows and service delivery
About You
Background in HR Systems, People Operations or Business Analytics
Previous experience using Dayforce would be preferred
Strong understanding of end-to-end employee lifecycle processes
Demonstrated experience improving or automating HR workflows
Strong Excel capability with appetite to continue developing
