Location: Trangie Agricultural Research Centre (TARC), Trangie
Salary from $69,220 to $75,728 pa+ superannuation (Operational Staff Grade 2)
About the Role
Join our team at Trangie Agricultural Research Centre (TARC) as a Leading Hand and make a real impact on our farm operations. Working alongside the Farm Supervisor, you’ll be hands on with livestock, pasture, and fodder crops, while helping plan and maintain day to day farm activities.
In this role, you’ll be out in the paddock, leading by example and supporting farm staff and contractors to get the job done safely and efficiently. Your leadership will ensure our farm operations remain consistent and reliable, supporting both our research goals and commercial farming activities.
We are looking for someone who
Has practical farm experience and enjoys working outdoors
Can lead tasks and support others efficiently
Communicates clearly and works well in a team
Takes safety seriously and sets a positive example
Can adapt to changing priorities and seasonal demands
Essential Requirements
Current NSW Driver Licence
Desirable Attributes
Experience in livestock handling
Broad acre farming experience
Experience with irrigation systems
