Legal Counsel / Senior Legal Counsel - Fund Manager

JS Careers are pleased to be exclusively assisting a leading fund manager seeking an experienced Legal Counsel / Senior Legal Counsel to join its high performing in‑house legal function.

Working closely with the General Counsel and wider legal team, this role offers broad exposure across transactions, portfolio management, regulatory matters and day‑to‑day commercial work in a fast‑paced investment environment.

The role will involve:

Advising on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including drafting and negotiating commercial agreements

Supporting M&A and investment activity, including acquisitions, disposals and structuring

Providing advice on financial services regulation and compliance

Assisting with product and services documentation, governance and company secretarial matters

Managing relationships with external legal advisers

About you:

Australian qualified lawyer with 6 - 15 years’ experience (private practice and/or in‑house)

Background in corporate transactions (M&A) and/or investment funds

Strong commercial drafting and negotiation skills

Confident working with senior stakeholders in a high-performance environment
