Solution Architect DERMS VPP AMI

Base pay range A$1,175.00/daily - A$1,225.00/daily

About the Opportunity You'll shape and deliver architecture across advanced energy technologies including smart meters, DER integration, load control, VPP orchestration and EV enablement. Working closely with technology, field operations and commercial teams, you'll design secure, scalable and standards-aligned solutions that enhance customer services and real-time grid performance. This role requires strong utilities expertise and the ability to drive high-impact outcomes across complex operational and data environments.

What you'll do

Lead technical workshops and align stakeholders on architecture direction

Develop solution designs spanning AMI, DERMS, VPP and energy data platforms

Ensure compliance with architecture governance, security and performance principles

Recommend modern technologies, patterns and approaches to uplift capability

Support delivery teams through implementation, integration and migration phases

What you bring

Deep utilities experience across DER, smart metering, and/or energy control systems

Strong understanding of data flows between operational and digital platforms

Exposure to real-time control environments (e.g. load shedding, power quality)

Ability to present complex solutions clearly to technical and business audiences

Track record uplifting enterprise platforms or delivering major transformation
