Job Description

Multiplant is experiencing significant expansion across our civil and construction operations. To support this growth, we are strengthening our human resources capability to drive performance, culture and compliance across the business.

About the Role This is a full‑time role reporting directly to the EGM of shared services. You will operate as the senior HR authority across corporate and project‑based operations. The role is suited to an experienced HR professional who thrives in a blended HR position, providing technical expertise across recruitment, remuneration, employee relations, and broader HR governance.

Key Responsibilities HR Leadership, Advisory & Compliance

Act as the senior HR advisor to leaders, providing commercially sound and compliant advice across the full employee lifecycle.

Interpret and apply the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, Modern Awards and employment frameworks within a civil construction and mining context.

Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary processes, investigations and resolution of workplace issues.

Maintain oversight of employment contracts, variations and HR documentation to ensure consistency, compliance and risk mitigation.

Monitor legislative and industrial relations developments and proactively advise leadership on workforce impacts and compliance risk.

Prepare HR reporting and insights to support workforce planning, risk management and decision‑making.

Oversee HRIS functionality, data integrity and reporting, escalating complex or system‑critical matters as required.

Lead remuneration benchmarking and provide commercially informed salary and offer recommendations aligned to market, internal frameworks and award compliance.

Ensure correct application of classifications, allowances, penalties and overtime in line with Modern Awards, site conditions and roster patterns.

Partner with payroll to resolve complex remuneration, allowance and compliance queries.

Support the development, governance and consistent application of remuneration frameworks, salary bands and benefits programs.

Recruitment & Workforce Planning

Lead end‑to‑end recruitment across corporate, technical and site‑based roles.

Oversee job design, advertising, candidate assessment, offer management and onboarding.

Ensure all recruitment, reference checking and pre‑employment processes meet legislative and compliance requirements.

Build and maintain sustainable talent pipelines to support current operations and future growth.

Culture and Engagement

Champion a positive, inclusive and values‑based workplace culture across corporate and site teams.

Support initiatives that strengthen connection, engagement and community within the business, including recognition programs, team events and engagement activities.

Partner with leaders to embed company values into everyday people practices, leadership behaviours and decision‑making.

Act as a visible, approachable HR leader who builds trust, encourages open communication and contributes to a fun, respectful and collaborative working environment.

About You

Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business or a related discipline.

Minimum 6+ years’ experience in HR, with demonstrated experience in an HR Lead, HR Manager or senior HR generalist role within the Civil, Construction or Mining industry.

Strong technical capability in award interpretation, employment legislation, remuneration and workforce compliance.

Proven experience advising leaders on complex employee relations, remuneration and compliance matters.

Highly organised, commercially minded and confident managing competing priorities in a fast‑paced operational environment.

Strong communication skills with the ability to influence, build trust and provide clear advice.
