We are seeking a strong

Care Director

to partner with our Residential Aged Care Manager at Kangaroo Flat (Bendigo). This is a pivotal leadership opportunity responsible for clinical governance, care quality, funding optimisation and leading the nursing team.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Residential Aged Care Manager, you will lead the clinical direction of the home and ensure safe, high-quality, resident-centred care.

As second in command, you’ll:

Build trusted relationships with residents and their families

Mentor and develop the next generation of carers and nurses

Oversee clinical operations, including stock control, compliance and reporting

Strengthen and refine clinical care programs to drive best-practice outcomes

Contribute to the financial performance of the home through funding optimisation and sound clinical governance

Step into the RACM role when required

This role plays a critical part in maintaining accreditation standards, medication safety systems, continuous improvement initiatives and overall clinical performance.

Kangaroo Flat is supported by a newly appointed Residential Aged Care Manager and Regional Manager, bringing strong leadership alignment and a clear, forward-focused commitment to clinical excellence and continuous improvement.

What You Bring

Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration

Minimum 3 years’ nursing management experience (ward level or above)

Strong experience within aged care

Demonstrated knowledge of accreditation standards and funding optimisation

Confident, accountable and outcomes-focused clinical leadership

Open to Relocation
