Senior Mining Engineer

Senior Mining Engineer - Underground Gold - Technical Services We’re currently seeking an experienced Senior Mining Engineer to join the technical services team with an established underground mining operation.

This is a key leadership role supporting a high-performing underground operation, where you will play an integral part in short- to medium-term planning, optimisation, and production delivery.

The mine operates using Longhole open stoping mining methods.

You’ll work closely with Geology, Survey, Geotech, and Operations to drive safe, efficient production outcomes while continuously improving performance and costs.

The Role

Lead short- and medium-term mine planning and scheduling

Oversee drill & blast design and optimisation

Manage stope design and sequencing

Monitor production performance and reconcile plans

Mentor junior engineers and graduates

Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes

This role suits an experienced underground engineer ready to step into broader technical ownership and influence site-wide performance.

What We’re Looking For

Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering

5+ years’ experience in underground mining operations

Proficiency in Deswik mine planning software

Strong communicator with a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset
