As a trusted advisor to the Head of Retail, you’ll play a central role in defining and executing our strategic agenda, driving transformation, and ensuring operational excellence across the Retail division.
You’ll lead the Business Management Office and work across all areas of the business—Product, Operations, Technology, Risk, and Finance—to align priorities, accelerate delivery, and ensure we’re always moving forward with purpose. Whether you’re crafting board-level communications, overseeing performance metrics, or guiding cross‑functional initiatives, your work will directly impact how we serve our customers and grow our business.
What You’ll Do
Shape Strategy
Partner with the Head of Retail to define and deliver the strategic roadmap for ING’s Retail division, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
Drive Execution
Lead the coordination and execution of high‑impact initiatives across multiple teams, ensuring seamless delivery and measurable outcomes.
Enable Performance
Oversee business performance management, including the development of dashboards, KPIs, and insights to support data‑driven decision‑making.
Lead Governance
Manage executive communications, including board papers, leadership presentations, and the facilitation of key governance forums.
Commercial Savvy
Collaborate with Business and Finance partners to set, manage budgets, forecasts, resource prioritisation and ensuring Capex and Opex cost‑efficiency / value creation.
Inspire
Foster a high‑performance culture by coaching a small team whilst ‘influencing’ others, promoting collaboration, and driving engagement across the Retail division.
What We’re Looking For
A strategic leader with
10+ years’ experience
in business management, strategy, or transformation, ideally within a large, complex organisation.
Deep expertise in
retail banking , with a strong grasp of customer experience, digital innovation, and regulatory environments.
Proven ability to
influence at the executive level , navigate ambiguity, and lead cross‑functional teams in a matrixed environment.
Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to turn insights into action and drive measurable results.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience preparing board‑level materials and facilitating executive forums.
A collaborative, adaptable mindset with a passion for
coaching others , building high‑performing teams, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
