IBN Corporation is a charitable organisation established in 2001, devoted to advancing the social, economic, and cultural wellbeing of the Yinhawangka, Banyjima and Nyiyaparli peoples of the Pilbara region and other stakeholders. With a net asset base of $275m, IBN delivers a broad range of programs and services across health, education, housing, culture, enterprise development and employment.
The Opportunity
IBN seeks a commercially focused Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic leadership in corporate finance, investment banking, treasury, M&A, financial management and strategy. Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will oversee all financial, accounting, audit and fiscal aspects of the IBN Group, ensuring compliance, data integrity and optimal financial performance.
The Role
Partner with the CEO to set organisation‑wide goals, performance management and annual operating plans.
Lead, advise and support M&A related commercial investment opportunities.
Review, monitor and track performance of the managed investments and property portfolio, recommending enhancements.
Oversee financial controls and systems for IBN and its subsidiaries.
Deliver financial reporting and forecasts to the IBN Board.
Provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team, fostering an inclusive culture and achieving organisational outcomes.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with key customers, partners and stakeholders.
Oversee tax strategies, compliance and effective tax planning.
Conduct financial due diligence and manage projects as delegated by the CEO.
You
Minimum 5‑10 years in an executive finance leadership role.
Strong technical financial skills and sound business planning/investment analysis.
Demonstrated competency in strategic planning and problem solving.
Proven ability to manage external and internal audit processes.
Effective relationship management with members, staff and external stakeholders.
Team‑oriented, collaborative mindset and strong communication skills.
Excellent time‑management, organisational skills and confidentiality.
Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and IT infrastructure.
Experience working with Aboriginal people and understanding of Aboriginal Australian culture.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance.
Professional qualifications such as CPA, CA or CFA.
Appointment Requirements
National Police Check (no older than 6 months, renewed every 3 years).
Valid Western Australian Driver’s Licence.
Willingness to travel and work throughout Western Australia.
Availability to attend business events outside normal hours as required.
