About the Role
Join us as a Queensland Regional Leader - Engineering in Brisbane. This is a key leadership role that will support the WEET (Water, Environment and Energy Transition) Director with implementation of Engeny’s Queensland strategic business plan and have operational and strategic responsibility for engineering teams. This role will also have key accountability for driving culture and values within the team.
You will be responsible for:
Leading the Queensland Engineering disciplines (Civil, Geotechnical, Structural, Water Transfer Systems, Urban Transport, Project Delivery and Design) to achieve Business plan objectives.
Coaching of Discipline Leaders and Sector Leaders
Lead strategy and business development within responsible disciplines
Work collaboratively with the broader WEET Leadership team
Responsible for the recruitment and retention plan for the Qld Engineering teams
Hold P&L accountability for relevant teams and ensure financial targets are realised
Oversee and approve financial expenditure within authority levels
Actively contribute to work winning including developing and building relationships with key strategic clients
Qualifications
About You
Ideally, you will have a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a business leadership role with demonstrated people leadership capabilities and exceptional technical expertise in civil engineering within a consultancy environment.
You will also have:
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Civil ideal)
CPEng and/or RPEQ high desired
Extensive QLD experience in concept to execution phases of multi-disciplinary civil design projects
Experience in growing an organization or business unit with demonstrated understanding of managing P&L responsibilities to manage billable consultants and engineers
Proven leadership skills and a desire to train, guide and mentor direct and indirect reports
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage stakeholders at all levels
Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen
Solid influencing and negotiation skills, ability to influence business decisions
