*Lead National Procurement Strategy for Australian Venue Co.*Australian Venue Co. operates 250+ venues across Australia and New Zealand. A rare and exciting opportunity has risen for a commercially astute and strategically driven **Head of Strategic Sourcing** to lead complex tendering and contract management across our national portfolio.This is a critical leadership role responsible for delivering commercially robust, compliant, and value-driven supplier outcomes across one of Australia’s largest and most dynamic hospitality groups. You will partner closely with senior stakeholders and venue operations to ensure procurement strategy drives performance, efficiency, and long-term value.The Head of Strategic Sourcing leads and oversees complex RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs across high-value categories, ensuring strong governance, risk management, and measurable commercial outcomes.You will act as a senior procurement leader, providing strategic guidance and commercial support to operations, finance, projects, and executive leadership.**Key Responsibilities****Strategic Tender Leadership*** Lead end-to-end RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs across high-value and complex categories* Develop and implement tender strategies in collaboration with category managers and key stakeholders* Prepare, issue, and oversee comprehensive tender documentation and commercial schedules* Ensure governance, probity, and risk management standards are upheld throughout the sourcing lifecycle**Stakeholder & Executive Partnering*** Act as a key procurement partner to operations, finance, projects, and senior leadership* Lead stakeholder requirements gathering and alignment prior to tender release* Coordinate and lead supplier presentations and high-level negotiations**Commercial Evaluation & Negotiation*** Design and oversee evaluation frameworks, scoring methodologies, and commercial analysis* Lead or support complex supplier negotiations in partnership with the broader procurement team* Prepare executive recommendations, approval papers, and board-ready summaries* Track and report realised savings, cost avoidance, and value-add benefits across the portfolio**Contracts & Governance Oversight*** Oversee contract development, execution, and variation management* Maintain visibility and control of contract compliance, renewals, and expiry management* Ensure procurement activities align with AVC governance, audit, and risk frameworks**Capability & Process Excellence*** Develop and refine tender templates, sourcing playbooks, and standard operating procedures* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness* Mentor and guide procurement and administrative team members to build internal capability**Skills, Experience & Capability*** 5+ years’ experience in procurement, tendering, contracts, or commercial leadership roles* Proven track record managing complex, high-value tenders end-to-end* Demonstrated ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders and executives* Experience within hospitality, FMCG, retail, or multi-site organisations (highly desirable)This is an opportunity to shape sourcing strategy at scale, influence executive decision-making, and drive measurable commercial value across a national portfolio.If you are a strategic thinker with strong governance discipline and the ability to deliver high-impact commercial outcomes — we’d love to hear from you.Make your career one to remember at Aus Venue Co.
