Data Architect Location: Adelaide, South Australia, Australia

Contract: 3 months initial contract with strong likelihood for extension. Adelaide based position.

Context The team is currently in conjunction with consultants undertaking two key initiatives to develop:

Data Standards and Design Principles

Data Governance & Quality Framework

Responsibilities

Support the rollout of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.

Assist in defining and documenting data ownership, stewardship, and quality processes.

Contribute to the development of metadata management and data cataloguing practices.

Provide technical guidance and design for data solutions including schemas & data models using Microsoft technologies (e.g. Azure Data Services, Power BI, SQL Server, Fabric, Purview).

Assist in integrating governance practices into data platforms and workflows.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and security standards.

Develop document templates for data management.

Identify critical data assets and dependencies to support governance and architecture decisions.

Ensure data lineage and flow documentation aligns with compliance and security requirements.
