The Role
A leading tier one construction company with a strong national delivery capability is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join their Perth team, supporting the delivery of a high-profile project south of Perth.
This business is known for delivering innovative, large-scale projects across complex sectors, with a focus on quality, sustainability, and long-term value. They are recognised for handling technically challenging builds and providing strategic project management, design, and construction services.
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a key leadership role across the project, driving engineering outcomes, coordinating complex construction activities, and supporting successful project delivery within a high-performing WA portfolio.
Working closely with the Construction Manager and broader delivery team, you will oversee planning, design coordination, procurement, subcontractor management, and ensure best-in-class quality, safety, and commercial performance.
Responsibilities
Lead planning, design, and technical coordination across allocated packages
Manage subcontractor performance, scope, and program delivery
Oversee procurement strategies and contribute to tender evaluations
Monitor project progress, cost control, risk, and change management
Provide leadership, mentoring, and development to Project Engineers and Site Engineers
Ensure high standards of quality, safety, and sustainability are consistently achieved
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders
To be successful in this key role, you must have
Ideally 8+ yearsโ experience in the construction industry, preferably on large-scale building projects
Proven experience delivering complex commercial, defence, health, education, or major building projects
Strong stakeholder engagement and subcontractor management capability
Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
Clear and confident communication skills with the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders effectively
