Join to apply for the Enterprise Architect role at HCF Australia.
This position fulfills the Enterprise Architecture functions for HCF and will define, develop and maintain the holistic view of HCF Business Processes, Strategic Alignment, Technology / Application landscape and Information Assets.
The role is responsible for developing and maintaining the business, application, and technical architecture artefacts, as well as an overall IT strategy and roadmap to guide the delivery of future-state technology for HCF.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse and implement the HCF Technology Strategy within the agreed IT enterprise architecture and design principles, operationalising the business objectives.
Collaborate across multiple IT teams and champion a culture that enables a secure, efficient and agile IT environment.
Provide support to consultants, 3rd parties, enterprise and solution architects in the design and implementation of strategies, artefacts, plans, and policies for applications, infrastructure, and data systems.
Define, document, and maintain the business and technology domain architecture(s) in HCF EA tools to ensure the repository is current and socialised.
Develop and continually update the strategies, roadmaps, plans, and standards that enable the development of systems that efficiently and reliably support business processes and capabilities.
Define and manage the design framework and governance within the enterprise terms of reference to ensure IT components interact effectively with business processes.
Develop and maintain principles, policies, and standards that embed business architecture into technology architecture and solution design.
Manage the review process to ensure new technology architectures align with HCF's business needs.
Stay aware of industry and technology trends / practices to identify best-in-class architecture practices.
Perform work in a manner that complies with relevant regulatory standards, including Work Health & Safety (WHS) legislation.
Essentials
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 5+ years of demonstrable experience in application or solution architecture and 2+ years in enterprise architecture, preferably in financial services.
Certification in TOGAF and / or Zachman strongly preferred.
Knowledge of technology in the business domain gained through experience in firms with similar activities to HCF.
Expert-level architecture design and modelling skills.
Deep understanding of business architecture standards and components, gained through senior-level architecture design experience.
Experience designing software architectures that address security, deployment, performance, caching, scalability, and service availability.
Proficiency in generating detailed architecture artefacts, with at least 5 years in technical system design specifications based on requirements and state analysis.
Familiarity with architecture tools such as Visio, Gliffy, Confluence, EA tools and other diagramming solutions.
Capability to apply effective reviews and guidance during implementation to measure compliance with technical design specifications and identify gaps / solutions.
Ability to lead & drive the EA function across HCF, liaising, collaborating and negotiating with key stakeholders from Technology and HCF Business Divisions.
Experience coaching and developing other professionals.
Positive, can-do attitude aligned with HCF Values & Competencies.
Familiar with on-premise, cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, IPaaS) and hybrid deployment models.
Working knowledge of infrastructure, including servers, storage, firewalls, load balancers, and routers.
