JR-102104**The Role**An exciting opportunity has arisen for talented Lawyers (2+ PQE) or Senior Associates (5+ PQE) to join our market-leading Corporate, M&A and Capital Markets team in Melbourne. You will work closely with our highly regarded Corporate Partner, Mark Malinas, Head of Private Equity, and a team of experienced lawyers who are passionate about delivering exceptional outcomes for clients and fostering the professional growth of their team. Mark has a market leading reputation of developing talent.This opportunity offers exposure to a broad range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity buyouts and exits, corporate governance, board advisory matters, and securities law. Working alongside a Partner and team with deep expertise in both domestic and cross-border transactions, you will play a key role in structuring, drafting, and negotiating transactions.This is a hands-on role that will provide you with the opportunity to work on high-profile clients and complex, market-leading deals that shape industries.**Skills & Experience****To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:*** Proven expertise in Corporate M&A, ideally gained within a top-tier firm environment. Exposure to private equity transactions will be looked upon favourably.* A strong academic record.* The ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively across a range of complex matters.* A client-focused approach, coupled with a strong work ethic and commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes.* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build and maintain strong client relationships and foster a collaborative team environment.* For Senior Associates:
+ a proven ability to lead matters, negotiations and teams;
+ a willingness to help build client relationships through networking and business development; and
+ a genuine passion for mentoring and developing junior lawyers, including providing constructive and timely feedback to support their growth.**The Corporate team**Clayton Utz maintains a top-tier multi-disciplinary Corporate M&A practice.
