About the role
This Manager, Risk Advisory role at CBUS is responsible for delivering accurate and tailored risk and compliance advice across CBUS’ Member & Employer Experience (MEX), Strategy & Growth teams. Reporting to the Head of Risk Advisory (MEX, Strategy & Growth) you will provide advice to the business on risk registers, profiles and tolerance levels ensuring business units operate within the approved risk appetite. The role also involves analysing risk data to identify trends, support regulatory change initiatives and managing incidents and breaches. You will support strategic initiatives and projects, contribute to executive and board level reporting and ensure regulatory obligations are met.
Key Accountabilities
Deliver expert risk and compliance advice to MEX, Strategy and Growth teams ensuring alignment with regulatory obligations and CBUS policies
Monitor and oversee risk frameworks including risk registers, profiles, KRIs and tolerance levels to assess whether business units operate within approved risk appetite
Lead regulatory change management advising applicability, overseeing implementation of new controls and determining breach reportability in line with ASIC requirements
Support strategic initiatives and projects, providing second line risk insights, compliance assessments and risk reporting to divisional forums, executive and board committees
Promote a strong compliance culture by building stakeholder relationships, delivering training, managing incidents and embedding group-wide risk and compliance processes
What will you bring?
Experience in a similar Line 2, Risk & Compliance Advisory role in Superannuation with a strong knowledge of insurance, financial advice, administration operations, brand and marketing or product knowledge including associated ASIC breach reporting
RG146 qualified with strong communication and influencing skills to support strategic initiatives
Good working knowledge of Financial Services Law as it affects superannuation and regulatory requirements
Experience in incident management and breach reporting and implementing a business partnership model within 3 lines of defence
Technical proficiency including experience with enterprise risk and compliance systems and the ability to support advice programs that balance member needs with regulatory obligations
