Technical Architect – Github / DevOps
LTM is a global strategic partner to Microsoft and GitHub, operating a large-scale Cloud Migration Factory that delivers enterprise modernisation programs across Azure, DevOps, and application platforms worldwide. As part of our rapid expansion across the ANZ region, we are scaling our cloud engineering capability to support high-impact government and regulated enterprise transformation programs.
We are now seeking an experienced GitHub and Azure DevOps Migration Specialist / Technical Architect to lead enterprise-grade migrations from Azure DevOps to GitHub Enterprise, while driving application modernisation across Azure PaaS environments. This role sits at the centre of LTIMindtree’s Microsoft delivery ecosystem and requires a hands-on DevOps architect who can combine deep technical expertise with strong delivery leadership in secure, large-scale environments.
Overview
Lead end-to-end migrations from Azure DevOps to GitHub using GitHub Enterprise Importer (GEI) or equivalent tools.
Validate post-migration data, ensuring the integrity of repositories, issues, pull requests, and metadata.
Manage application modernization and hosting within Azure PaaS services (App Services, Functions, AKS, Containers).
Analyze and optimize application performance, configuration, and dependency management across hybrid architectures.
Troubleshoot migration and deployment issues, collaborating with GitHub support and internal teams.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation, validation checklists, and remediation logs.
Implement Log Analytics and monitoring solutions using Azure-native services.
Provide technical leadership to application teams (5+ members), offering architecture governance and mentoring.
Partner with internal stakeholders and customers to define migration strategies and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
Attributes
12+ years in software development and cloud architecture, including 6+ years in application development.
Proven experience with GitHub Enterprise Cloud, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines .
Expertise in
Australian Citizen | NV1 / NV2 Clearance Required
(App Services, Functions, AKS, ACI).
Strong skills in .NET / Java / Node.js / Python, with hands-on application deployment experience.
Deep understanding of containerization (Docker,
Kubernetes ) and application hosting.
Experience scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation and validation.
Knowledge of API integrations, migration tooling, and large-scale repository transitions.
Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and customer engagement skills.
GitHub Foundations, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps certification (highly regarded).
