Finance Business Partner | Cost Focused

About The Role

MARS are partnering with an established organisation that's looking to hire a Finance Business Partner to partner closely with operational and executive stakeholders while leading a critical costing function.

This role blends leadership, technical expertise, and commercial insight, offering the opportunity to influence decision‑making and drive continuous improvement across costing frameworks and financial processes. Reporting to a senior finance leader, the role provides high visibility and meaningful impact across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the senior point of accountability for costing activities across a multi‑site operating environment

Lead, mentor, and develop a small team across costing and operational finance roles

Deliver clear, actionable cost insights to senior leaders to support commercial decisions

Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to improve data quality, reporting, and financial outcomes

Drive enhancements to costing methodologies, policies, and internal controls

Analyse trends and variances, identifying risks, opportunities, and improvement initiatives

Support strategic projects relating to systems, processes, and financial optimisation

Contribute to audit, compliance, and governance requirements

Support month‑end close activities and broader finance operations as required

About You:

CA or CPA qualified with 10+ years' experience across accounting and finance, with strong cost accounting exposure

Proven experience leading and developing teams

Deep understanding of costing principles and end‑to‑end costing processes

Demonstrated success improving costing frameworks and methodologies

Strong communication skills with the ability to partner with senior stakeholders

Commercially minded, proactive, and confident managing competing priorities

Exposure to complex operational or multi‑site environments advantageous

Confident working with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel - financial modelling experience is advantageous.

They operate in the office 4-5 days a week and have free parking onsite
