Design Coordinator/Manager

Company This builder offers employees the opportunity to work on some truly beautiful high rise residential projects. They are a new face on the Gold Coast market and are set to start the year off with a bang.

Their current projects range from $30m - $100m and historically have been known to deliver cutting edge products.

We are currently looking to appoint a new Design Coordinator/Manager to manage the design phase through to the delivery phase. You will be fortunate enough to join a leading brand with established systems and processes as well as a brand that has relationships with the appropriate authorities and consultancies to turn concepts into real life.

Role The Design Manager has the following specific areas of responsibility:

Initial and ongoing procurement strategies

Review designs, recommend improvements and provide value adding solutions

Contract negotiations

On-going design enhancement and improvement Manage design consultancies and achieve the best outcomes for the project

Person

Technical knowledge

Ability to read technical drawings and foresee design and construction complications and cost savings

Ability to identify cost savings through improving buildability and procurement

Ability to translate technical requirement into policies and procedures

Strong procurement strategy implementation

High standard and well received internal and external design outcomes

Experience working for a mid or upper tier construction company

Strong Structural design knowledge
