A high-growth SaaS group with multiple platforms, real scale, and a leadership seat at the centre of a major technology evolution.

The Opportunity This is a rare, real CTO gig - not a glorified Head of Engine.

You’ll lead two distinct engineering teams across two core SaaS products :

A 20-person team based in Brisbane, working on a fast-growing modern platform

A 15-person team spread across Australia and Southeast Asia, supporting a legacy system undergoing strategic transition

You’ll partner closely with senior product leaders, cross-functional execs, and international stakeholders to drive alignment, delivery, and long-term tech strategy - across both product lines and across the group.

From day one, you’ll be navigating :

Two actively supported platforms (including one being replaced globally)

Complex legacy-to-modern transformations

Distributed engineering teams and cross-border collaboration

A new incoming CIO and an active M&A pipeline (with potential integrations to oversee)

The company is PE-backed with ~$70M revenue and a goal to 2.5x in four years

They’ve already acquired multiple software companies, with more planned

Their platforms support professional services clients in tightly regulated industries

The product / engineering org spans Australia, South East Asia, and Europe

They’re building toward a global platform model - and your leadership will shape it

What makes this role tricky (and exciting) : One platform is being replaced by a new global product - you’ll manage the tech and people transition while keeping the current system running smoothly

The other platform is scaling fast - you’ll balance delivery velocity with system integrity and long-term sustainability

The two teams have different tech stacks, histories, and rhythms - you’ll need to unify direction while respecting context

There are strong leaders already in place - your success will come from influence, EQ, and clarity, not control

The global environment brings time zone challenges and complex stakeholder alignment - you’ll need to lead calmly and strategically

Engineering leadership across SaaS platforms with meaningful scale

Experience leading distributed teams across different regions and maturity levels

Comfort navigating platform transitions, system modernisation, and architecture at scale

Deep understanding of data, security, and compliance
