About the Role
We’re looking for an energetic, relationship‑driven Regional Engagement Manager to be
the face of HIA in regional Victoria . Based ideally in
Bendigo or surrounding region , this role builds strong industry relationships, delivers high‑value engagement activities, and supports members, partners and stakeholders across the region.
You’ll plan and deliver an annual calendar of regional engagement activities, strengthen our membership base, support commercial partnerships, and ensure members are connected with HIA services, advocacy and expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Engagement
Plan and deliver fit‑for‑purpose regional engagement activities (forums, roundtables, member visits).
Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to deliver high‑value content.
Use a mix of in‑person, digital and hybrid formats to maximise accessibility.
Membership
Be the primary support contact for members and prospective members in regional Victoria.
Support annual membership growth and retention goals.
Assist members with service queries, regulatory information and HIA product knowledge.
Partnerships & Stakeholder Management
Identify and support commercial partnership opportunities.
Foster relationships with local government, statutory bodies, utilities and community stakeholders.
Connect members with relevant HIA teams for regulatory, planning or compliance matters.
Commercial & Communications
Promote cross‑selling opportunities across HIA services (Apprentices, Training, Events, Partnerships).
Identify government grants and special project opportunities.
Source and provide regional communication content that highlights HIA value and member success stories.
About You
Strong customer and stakeholder relationship skills.
Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
Strong planning and organisational ability with a focus on delivery.
Understanding of the Victorian residential construction industry (desirable).
Experience in membership‑based organisations or sales/retention roles (advantage).
Skilled in Microsoft software; CRM experience a bonus.
Energetic, resourceful, collaborative, and comfortable with occasional after‑hours work.
Location
Bendigo (preferred) or surrounding region.
Company car provided.
