Volunteer Board Director/Company Secretary

Who we’re looking for
We welcome individuals who share our values and commitment to community wellbeing. Ideal candidates will bring:
Qualifications and/or experience in governance, risk management, legal compliance, financial oversight, or clinical governance.
Experience as a Company Secretary, including ASIC compliance and governance reporting.
Previous or current experience on a Not‑for‑Profit or non‑government Board.
Lived experience of mental health or as a mental health carer (highly regarded).
A current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain.
Responsibilities
As a Board Director, you will:
Provide strategic oversight and governance to ensure HelpingMinds continues to thrive.
Uphold compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Help shape the future of mental health and carer support services across WA.
As Company Secretary, you will play a pivotal role in governance reporting and ASIC compliance, ensuring our Board operates with transparency and integrity.
Commitment
Attend bi‑monthly Board meetings (typically six per year), scheduled after hours on the 4th Tuesday of the month (5:00 pm – 7:00 pm), via Zoom or in person at our East Perth office.
Attend twice‑monthly subcommittee meetings.
Provision of sitting fees to cover expenses.
