Imaging & Diagnostic Equipment: Direct and indirect ophthalmoscopy, Slit lamp biomicroscopy, Tonometry, Gonioscopy, Ultrasound biomicroscope (UBM), Electroretinography (ERG), BP monitoring

Surgical & Treatment Equipment: Operating microscope, Phacoemulsification unit (cataract surgery), Laser surgery, Cryosurgery, Microsurgical instruments, Diathermy

About the Role As a Veterinary Ophthalmologist, you will specialize in advanced diagnostics and microsurgery to preserve and restore vision for animal patients. You will collaborate with a team of Specialists, Residents, interns, and experienced veterinary nurses. This role is best suited for a candidate recently boarded or experienced specialist, offering the opportunity to contribute to teaching and mentorship while enjoying flexible work arrangements and the lifestyle benefits of living in Australia.

Requirements

A board‑certified diplomate of ACVO or ECVO or fellowship of the ANZCVS in Veterinary Ophthalmology. Residency trained candidates also considered.

Recognized and/or accredited undergraduate degree by the Australasian Veterinary Boards Council (AVBC). Limited registration candidates also considered.

If required, passing the National Veterinary Examination (NAVLE).
