About the Role This is your opportunity to lead the charge.

As

Vice President – Business Development, Latin America , you won’t just be following a growth strategy you’ll be writing it. Based in Peru and reporting directly to the President of Schlam Americas, you’ll take the reins of our expansion across Peru and Chile, turning vision into action and strategy into sales.

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives on autonomy, owns their outcomes and knows how to open doors. You’ll be front and centre meeting with mining customers on-site, building powerful relationships and driving a strong, future-focused sales pipeline.

What You’ll Be Doing

Leading sales and business development across Latin America, with a primary focus on the large surface mining markets of

Peru and Chile

Identifying, targeting and building strong relationships with

mining companies, suppliers and key stakeholders

Securing

firm orders

that align with production and margin goals

Developing and executing a

multi-year growth strategy

Managing site visits and maintaining

fitness for high-altitude mine travel

Collaborating with global teams in Australia and the Americas to deliver excellence across engineering, supply chain and delivery

Maintaining sales forecasts, CRM data and pipeline health with high accuracy

Traveling

up to 50% of the time

across regions and mine sites

Representing Schlam at key industry events, customer sites and partner meetings

About Your Experience We're looking for a high-performing candidate who brings:

Essential

10+ years

in sales and service roles with face-to-face experience in mining environments

Proven

business development results

with mining customers in Peru

Experience with

capital mining equipment

especially trucks, excavators and loaders

A

college degree

in engineering, business or marketing (MBA preferred)

Mine safety training & certification

Strong

MS Office proficiency

and CRM systems knowledge

A

self-starting, entrepreneurial approach

to running your region like your own business

Willingness and fitness to

travel to high-altitude mine sites

Desirable

Qualifications in mechanical or manufacturing engineering , providing strong technical grounding to support complex sales conversations and align with engineering teams

Experience with global mining equipment manufacturers or suppliers , with a deep understanding of capital equipment sales cycles, procurement processes and customer expectations

Hands-on exposure to mining operations , including site-based roles, product trials or equipment commissioning enabling you to connect with clients across all operational levels

Strong regional awareness , including knowledge of Latin American business culture (particularly Peru and Chile), and Spanish language proficiency to build trust and engagement with key stakeholders
