Clinical Lead

📍 Sydney, Australia

Healthcare Anglicare Sydney

Job Description

Lead safe, person‑centred care where it matters most

Do you want a career that means more? At Anglicare Sydney, we bring clinical excellence, compassion and purpose together to enrich lives and strengthen communities.

For more than 160 years, Anglicare has supported people through care that respects dignity, choice and independence. As part of our evolving For Life service model at Warriewood Village, we are strengthening clinical leadership to ensure residents living independently receive safe, responsive and high‑quality clinical care.

This role is central to how care is experienced in the village — calm, capable and connected.

Your opportunity Full‑Time, Warriewood

As Clinical Lead, you’ll support the delivery of safe, evidence‑based and person‑centred clinical care for residents living within the village community. Working closely with the Care Operations Manager and Village Leadership Team, you’ll coordinate day‑to‑day clinical activities, support nurses and care workers, and contribute to strong clinical governance and quality outcomes.

This is a hands‑on leadership role — providing guidance, escalation support and clinical oversight while building confidence and capability within the care team.

You Will

Support Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Care Workers to deliver safe, high‑quality care

Coordinate day‑to‑day clinical tasks and workflows within the village

Ensure assessments, documentation and care interventions meet required standards

Identify and elevate changes in resident condition, risk or compliance concerns

Lead and support incident management, clinical escalation and after‑hours support as required

Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement and audit readiness

Participate in Root Cause Analysis and continuous improvement initiatives

Partner with Case Managers, village teams and external providers to coordinate care

Engage residents and families in care planning and decision‑making

Support safe staffing, rostering accuracy and responsible use of clinical resources

Role‑model Anglicare’s values, professionalism and clinical standards

What You’ll Bring

You are a confident, compassionate Registered Nurse who enjoys leading others and supporting safe, high‑quality care. You balance clinical expertise with approachability and know when to act independently — and when to elevate.

You Will Have

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

Minimum 5 years’ clinical nursing experience (aged care or community settings ideal)

Demonstrated experience supporting or leading clinical teams

Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills

Sound understanding of aged care legislation, standards and quality frameworks

Confidence with clinical documentation systems and digital tools

Clear, respectful communication skills with residents, families and teams

Commitment to safety, compliance and continuous improvement

Highly Desirable

Experience in medication management, chronic disease, wound, palliative or continence care

Experience as a Clinical Trainer or Assessor

Why Anglicare? At Anglicare, you’ll find purpose, support and professional respect. You’ll work in a values‑led organisation where clinical quality matters, leadership is encouraged and residents are genuinely at the centre of care.

Additional meal & entertainment packaging up to $2,650
