Job Description
A Projects Director leads high-value construction projects from inception to handover, ensuring compliance with budget, schedule, and quality standards. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Directing project execution plans, defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with senior management.
Financial & Contractual Management: Managing project budgets, approving expenditures, negotiating contracts, and handling variation orders.
Stakeholder & Client Relations: Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure project alignment.
Risk & Quality Management: Implementing risk mitigation strategies, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, and overseeing quality control.
Team Management: Leading and mentoring project managers, engineers, and technical staff.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 20‑25 years of extensive experience in project management, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects for high‑rise buildings 50‑60 stories.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture; a PMP certification is preferred.
Skills: Strong leadership, commercial acumen, negotiation abilities, and in-depth knowledge of local Dubai municipality regulations.
