has been exclusively engaged by a major global bank to source a Director level risk management professional. This key appointment will provide strategic guidance to the business around the management of financial risk across their Asset Finance and Securitisation business in Australia. Key responsibilities will include: Steer the setup and growth of securitisation and financing activities in Australia, shaping risk appetite, governance, infrastructure, and regulatory alignment. Lead comprehensive credit assessments and approvals for securitisation deals, covering credit, market, liquidity, operational, ESG, and jurisdictional risks. Oversee periodic reviews, stress testing, exposure monitoring, and Watch List contributions, ensuring timely escalation of material risk issues. Provide subject matter expertise across securitised asset classes, including securitisation swaps and alternative financing structures. Engage with Credit Committees, and key stakeholders to enhance credit policy, risk frameworks, and data quality. Apply advanced knowledge of regulatory capital regimes, rating agency methodologies, due diligence, and securitisation documentation in a fast-paced deal environment. Suitable candidates will possess: At least 10 years’ experience in the development and implementation of new securitisation activities, including advisory to front-line teams on risk considerations. Deep knowledge across securitised products (ABS, RMBS, CMBS, warehouses) and asset classes. Skilled in managing full transaction reviews autonomously, including deal structuring, documentation analysis, and stakeholder engagement. Experience conducting client due diligence visits and preparing detailed reports, with strong awareness of embedded financial and non-financial risk. Solid understanding of relevant capital frameworks and rating methodologies applied to structured finance transactions. Familiar with securitisation-linked derivatives and various portfolio stress testing approaches.
