The Project We are seeking to hire an experienced

AWS Architect

to provide high-level architecture, security oversight, and technical advisory across a complex enterprise cloud environment. This role suits a senior consultant who enjoys partnering with ICT leaders, shaping cloud direction, and ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and strategically aligned.

You will operate across governance, solution design, and cloud security, working closely with technical teams, vendors, and senior stakeholders to guide decision-making and uplift architectural maturity.

This role is based in Perth, Western Australia and cannot be performed remotely.

Key Responsibilities

Design and review AWS solution architectures aligned to enterprise standards and best practices.

Provide architectural oversight across existing workloads, modernisation initiatives, and cloud optimisation efforts.

Ensure AWS environments meet stringent security, compliance, and risk requirements.

Offer clear, pragmatic cloud and security architecture advice to a diverse stakeholder group.

Support governance forums, vendor evaluations, and architectural decision-making processes.

Contribute to cloud capability uplift through improved patterns, standards, and architectural consistency.

Skills & Experience Required

Significant senior-level experience designing and governing AWS cloud architectures.

Strong background in cloud security architecture and risk-based decision-making.

Experience operating within large enterprise or government-scale environments.

AWS certifications (Architecture / Security specialty) highly regarded.

Experience with integration, hybrid cloud, or data-intensive platforms advantageous.
