We currently have an exciting leadership opportunity for a Group Sales Director – Independent Agencies, based in Melbourne, to champion ARN’s commercial growth by leading a high-performing sales team and driving strategic relationships across the Independent Agency landscape.

About the role As the Group Sales Director – Independent Agencies, you will lead a dedicated and motivated sales team to deliver exceptional results for our clients and drive multimarket revenue across ARN’s broadcast and digital assets. You will:

Lead, coach and mentor a high‑performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and results

Build and maintain influential relationships across Independent Agencies, becoming a trusted senior partner

Develop and deliver strategic sales plans to maximise commercial outcomes across broadcast, digital and iHeart

Represent ARN’s commercial offering with credibility, passion and expertise — championing the Audiosphere

Work closely with Sales Directors, the broader Commercial leadership team, and internal stakeholders to drive revenue growth

Deliver strong presentation outcomes and negotiate high‑value deals with confidence and commercial acumen

Support talent development and succession planning to build future capability within the commercial team

About you You are a senior commercial leader with:

Extensive media sales experience (ideally 8+ years), particularly within Independent Agencies

A track record of leading high‑performing sales teams and achieving ambitious revenue targets

Deep understanding of the media market, including audio, digital and integrated solutions

Strong relationship‑building, influencing and stakeholder‑management skills

Outstanding negotiation skills and proven commercial judgement

Exceptional communication and presentation skills

A passion for leading people, inspiring performance and championing culture

High levels of professionalism, integrity and resilience, with the ability to thrive in a high‑paced environment
