About the role

Are you a highly experienced gastroenterology dietitian with experience in research and teaching?

Eastern Health has an exciting opportunity for an additional Advanced Practice Dietitian (0.2 fixed-term until June 2026 with possibility of extension) in the Dietitian-led Gastro Clinic, based at Blackburn Public Surgical Centre. In this role, you will serve as the primary contact for patients referred to gastroenterology at Eastern Health who fit within a defined set of criteria, utilising your advanced clinical assessment and management skills for those with IBS-type symptoms. You will collaborate closely with the Gastroenterology team, relevant nursing staff, and clinical mentors to provide evidence-based assessments and management for patients identified as suitable for the dietetics-led service

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

Manager to list Key Selection Criteria

Professional qualifications and eligible for registration and/or membership of Dietitian Australia

Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience

A strong commitment to high-quality care

The ability to work as part of a diverse team

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
