With the planned departure of the long-serving Chief Executive Officer and Director Healthy Communities over the coming months, this interim opportunity has been created to ensure the continued strong leadership of the Healthy Communities Directorate while Council finds its next Chief Executive Officer, and in turn a permanent Director Healthy Communities is appointed.
Applicants seeking either a short-term contract or possible secondment opportunity are encouraged to apply.
The role
During your 8 months in this senior leadership role, you will:
Contribute to leading the organisation in an outstanding executive team,
Work closely with a positive, supportive team of Councillors,
Lead a passionate and enormously capable staff,
Engage with a wide range of community and government partners to continue supporting and improving the wellbeing of our residents and business communities.
The Directorate
The Directorate includes the following business areas:
Community Wellbeing
Community Partnerships
Economy and Culture
Bushfire Recovery Program
Healthy Loddon Campaspe – Health Broker
Qualifications
The right person for the role will have:
Proven experience and success in a senior leadership role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A track record of leading positive organisational culture and performance
Relevant qualifications and experience in a related field
An ability to build and maintain trust and confidence with staff, Councillors, and community partners
Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
