Job Description
As RemX Australia continues to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our Australian operations and drive the next phase of strategic expansion.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Company Director, the General Manager will play a pivotal leadership role in overseeing RemX Australiaโs operational, commercial, and strategic performance. You will be responsible for driving business growth, optimising project delivery, strengthening client relationships, and fostering a high-performance culture across all teams and divisions.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded leader from the environmental, civil, or contracting sector who thrives in a fast-paced, technically driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
Provide strategic direction to support business growth, market positioning, and long-term sustainability.
Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team across operations, project management, HSEQ, and commercial functions.
Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.
Operational Management
Oversee the successful delivery of remediation and contracting projects across Australia.
Ensure robust project controls, risk management frameworks, and HSEQ compliance.
Manage operational performance, resource allocation, and efficiency targets.
Financial & Commercial Accountability
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management.
Drive commercial outcomes including tendering, contract negotiation, and margin optimisation.
Identify new business opportunities and strengthen client relationships.
Stakeholder & Client Engagement
Represent RemX Australia with key clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.
Build strong networks within the environmental, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.
Ensure customer satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships.
About You
We are looking for a strategic leader who brings:
Senior leadership experience within environmental remediation, civil contracting, environmental engineering, or related industries.
Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record in business growth, contract negotiation, and financial performance.
Deep understanding of environmental regulations, remediation and civil methodologies, and HSEQ management.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership skills.
A handsโon approach, adaptable mindset, and drive to deliver highโquality outcomes.
