Your New Role And Responsibilities
We have an opportunity for a senior Verification & Validation (V&V) Engineer to support testing and assurance activities across multiple mission systems operating within complex, multi‑domain security environments. In this role, you will independently plan, execute, and document verification and validation activities for systems, components, and operational processes. You will work closely with technical teams, V&V leadership, and stakeholders to ensure delivered capabilities meet defined requirements, standards, and user expectations. This role suits an experienced V&V practitioner who is confident operating with minimal supervision, contributing to test improvement initiatives, and supporting less experienced team members.
Key Responsibilities Include
Plan and execute verification and validation activities across system changes, upgrades, and releases.
Develop and maintain test artefacts including test plans, cases, procedures, reports, and traceability.
Perform developmental, integration, and acceptance testing to ensure system quality and compliance.
Identify, analyse, and manage defects using test and defect management tools, supporting root cause analysis.
Collaborate with engineering and sustainment teams to ensure testability, quality outcomes, and compliance with security and change controls.
Contribute to continuous improvement of V&V processes and provide guidance to junior team members.
What You’ll Bring To Make An Impact
Qualification in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience in verification and validation, systems testing, or quality assurance roles.
Experience developing and maintaining test artefacts aligned to requirements and standards.
Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g. ALM, Jira, Confluence or similar).
Understanding of systems engineering principles and structured V&V practices.
Experience testing enterprise ICT environments, with exposure to SOE, infrastructure, applications, or test automation/scripting considered an advantage.
