About the Client Ashburn Holdings (ASEH) is part of the United Petroleum group of companies and owns c.$500m worth of property assets across the commercial, industrial, retail and residential property classes within Australia. This role offers the opportunity to join ASEH’s wider United Petroleum in‑house team and advise across end‑to‑end property matters impacting the group’s property portfolio.

The Role This position is suited to a Senior Property Lawyer with prior top‑tier and/or in‑house experience at the Senior Legal Counsel, Special Counsel or Partner level. Applicants must be comfortable providing counsel on property matters at executive and board level and thrive in a complex, project‑driven, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities The role will be responsible for managing all legal property‑related matters (acquisition, sale and lease) for ASEH and the United Petroleum business. This includes negotiating contracts of purchase and sale, lease agreements, licences and a range of property‑related commercial documents, as well as managing any property‑related disputes.

Qualifications • Senior Property Lawyer with top‑tier or in‑house experience at Senior Legal Counsel, Special Counsel or Partner level.

• Proven track record of providing strategic counsel on property matters to executive and board level stakeholders.

• Strong experience in negotiating, drafting and managing complex property transactions and related legal documents.
