The role
We are currently seeking 1-3 years PAE Lawyer to join our Dispute Resolution team in Canberra working with Melanie McKean, Rob Andersen, and Thomas Gaffney. The successful candidate will work in a cohesive team on a broad range of government‑focused litigation and disputes work, including class actions, complex civil claims, regulatory litigation, complex commercial disputes (including claims, negotiations, mediations and arbitrations on large‑scale construction, infrastructure, IT and materiel projects), merits and judicial review work, investigations, royal commissions and parliamentary inquiries, and advice for clients in those areas.
The Applicant
1+ years PAE
experience working in government litigation/disputes/inquiries
excellent verbal and written communication skills
strong analytical skills
a high level of attention to detail
a security clearance from the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (or be eligible to obtain a security clearance).
The successful candidate for this position will be self‑motivated and proactive, with the confidence and ability to communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels, and possess strong organisational, time‑management and multi‑tasking skills.
