Job Description

Building and Plumbing Commission โ€“ Melbourne VIC Reporting to the Chief Dispute Resolution Officer, the Deputy Chief Dispute Resolution Officer works in partnership with the CDRO to deliver high quality dispute resolution services to Victorians. The DCDRO is a key member of the Dispute Resolution Division Senior Management Team and is responsible for performance reporting and leading the implementation of strategic projects and reform initiatives for the Division that result from the establishment of the Building and Plumbing Commission (BPC). What we are looking for

Demonstrated experience working in a senior management role supporting the delivery and execution of statutory functions and. Experience and familiarity with business process mapping and continuous improvement frameworks, system and best practice methodologies in a commercial environment and/or the public sector. Proven experience in providing authoritative legal and legal policy advice and guidance. For a detailed overview of responsibilities, please refer to the attached position description. About the BPC

The Building & Plumbing Commission (BPC) is Victoria's new regulator for building and plumbing. It brings together the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria (DBDRV), and the domestic building insurance function of the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) into one organisation. Key functions related to building and plumbing regulation will come together under one roof, including registration, inspection and compliance, practitioner discipline, dispute resolution, and domestic building insurance. These services will now part of the BPC and will be fully integrated over the next 12 months. Commitment to Diversity
