Civil Project Engineer - Substations

About the Role

The Central-West Orana project is seeking dedicated Project Engineers to join our Substation team. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, construction, and quality assurance, to ensure that all civil aspects of the project are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Location: travel to the camp and site near Mudgee on a 14 day on/7 day off roster. This role is for the Civil Project Engineer - Substations role at ACCIONA. Responsibilities

Develop and review civil engineering designs and calculations for substation foundations, gantry\'s, and associated structures Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, codes, and client specifications Ensure all quality and environmental aspects of the project are addressed to maintain effective operation and project delivery Monitor subcontractors performance and ensures the quality and standard of workmanship is in accordance with the specifications Ensures that program is communicated to subcontractors, suppliers, and internal staff to maintain commitment Assist in managing cost control for certain aspects of the project in order to ensure the project meets its performance targets in relation to budget/forecast Lead, motivate, and mentor site personnel to foster positive team dynamics, staff moral and work outcomes Develop and monitor implementation of construction methods including audits Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including drawings, reports, and as-built records Assist in the preparation of project schedules, budgets, and resource plans specific to civil works Address client queries and concerns related to civil works in a timely and professional manner Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree in civil engineering, or a related field 3+ years of relevant experience in Foundations, ideally in Substations Problem solving / analytical skills Geotechnical Interpretation Ensuring all relevant regulatory requirements are satisfied Working knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation of same Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated experience collaborating across multiple stakeholder groups Job details
