About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting, you will lead a team of professional staff responsible for all aspects of the Bank’s financial statements and taxation reporting obligations, and for providing various financial, accounting and taxation advice to executives and stakeholders across the Bank.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of five professional staff, overseeing their ongoing development and growth.
Prepare the Bank’s financial statements and oversee the implementation of accounting policies.
Manage GST and FBT reporting obligations.
Prepare the Bank’s annual climate‑related disclosure.
Provide financial, accounting and taxation advice to executives and stakeholders.
Provide subject‑matter expertise, coaching, training and guidance to the team and relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance.
Manage key relationships with the external auditor, Note Printing Australia (a wholly owned subsidiary), Commonwealth entities and professional service providers.
Qualifications
7+ years’ experience in financial reporting or an equivalent role, preferably within banking or financial services.
Demonstrated expertise in the application of accounting standards and the development of accounting policies.
Demonstrated expertise in GST and FBT reporting obligations.
Practical application of climate‑related disclosure requirements.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance and accounting.
Qualified member of a recognized professional accounting body.
