Lead Technology Architect

Lead Technology Architect – Enterprise Infrastructure Drive the technology vision, strategy and roadmaps for core infrastructure, platforms and security foundations within a large federal government agency, leading high-impact architecture outcomes and providing trusted advice to senior stakeholders across the organisation.

Contract Details

Contract Duration : 12 months with 2 x 12-month extension options

Security Clearance Requirement : Baseline clearance

Essential Tasks

Define, develop and lead the vision, strategy, target state and roadmaps for key infrastructure capabilities (facilities, storage, compute, network and enabling platforms).

Provide high-quality architectural advice and decision support to senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment to best practices, cost optimisation and business goals.

Design, develop and lead architectural artefacts (solution outlines, system and security architectures, reference architectures, end states and roadmaps).

Extend and govern technology architecture frameworks and processes, driving innovation, design assurance and fit-for-purpose integration across complex environments.

Key Criteria

Extensive architecture experience across one or more technology domains such as data centres, infrastructure platforms, networking, storage, collaboration platforms, contact centre solutions and end user computing.

Demonstrated ability to monitor emerging technologies, create technology roadmaps and secure stakeholder commitment to target states and strategic directions.

Proven capability in systems design, producing ICT architecture designs, patterns, blueprints and solution designs that balance functional and non-functional requirements.

Strong track record providing specialist architecture advice in complex enterprise environments, consolidating inputs from SMEs and vendors to guide organisational decisions.
