Identify and qualify opportunities across new build luxury hotels, branded residences and premium residential developments, from first conversation through to signed appointments.
Prioritise key hotel and residential clients and create clear plans to grow repeat work and broader engagement with each.
Track market and competitor activity across hotel and residential sectors and turn insights into clear actions for the studio leadership.
Prepare and lead pitches, RFP responses and presentations for major hotel operators and residential developers.
Lead negotiations and closing of significant contracts, working with internal stakeholders and external advisers to balance commercial, legal and brand considerations.
Represent the studio at hotel, property and design events in Australia and the wider region.
Oversee the handover of new projects into delivery, staying involved at key milestones to support client relationships and commercial outcomes.
About you
You have substantial business development experience in interior design, architecture or luxury hospitality, including direct work with hotel operators and/or premium residential developers, and a strong record of winning and growing highvalue projects.

At least 10 years’ business development experience, with a minimum of 5 years focused on hotel, hospitality or closely related interiors work.
Experience securing multi million dollar design or fit out projects with hotel operators, luxury brands or residential developers, and leading complex negotiations to close deals.
Strong consultative sales skills, able to translate client brand and commercial objectives into design led solutions for hotel and residential projects.
Solid commercial and contract awareness, including familiarity with typical contract structures and regulatory settings for interiors and hospitality projects in Australia.
Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross functional teams and to work in partnership with design and project leaders in a studio environment.
Confidence tracking pipeline, opportunities and client activity, and preparing clear, persuasive written proposals and presentations.
