Role Overview Our energy-sector client is seeking an experienced

Infrastructure Test Lead

to oversee and deliver testing activities across large-scale IT infrastructure transformation programs. This role will be responsible for ensuring the quality, readiness, and successful transition of infrastructure solutions into operational support environments.

The successful candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities, deep understanding of IT infrastructure domains, and proven experience managing complex testing initiatives in multi-vendor environments.

Key responsibilities

Lead and manage end-to-end

infrastructure testing

across networks, compute, storage, and database platforms.

Plan, coordinate, and execute testing activities supporting infrastructure

provisioning, migration, and transition to support teams .

Define and manage test strategies, plans, schedules, and reporting for large-scale transformation programs.

Provide leadership to virtual and cross-functional testing teams, ensuring delivery against timelines and quality standards.

Coordinate testing efforts across

system integrators and multiple vendors , ensuring clear ownership and alignment.

Manage testing in

complex, fluid, and ambiguous environments , adapting plans as required.

Engage with stakeholders to communicate risks, issues, progress, and outcomes effectively.

Ensure testing aligns with organizational governance, quality frameworks, and security requirements.

Minimum

10 years’ experience

in Testing and Quality leadership roles.

Strong background in

Infrastructure Testing , including networks, compute, storage, and databases.

Proven experience managing testing for

large-scale ($10M+) IT application and infrastructure transformation programs .

Demonstrated expertise in

test management and execution

across multiple or large IT initiatives.

Experience working with

system integrators and multi-source delivery models .

Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Ability to lead virtual teams and deliver outcomes in complex enterprise environments.

Due to the nature of the role,

Australian citizenship is required , with

Baseline security clearance

preferred or eligibility to obtain one.
