About the role: We’re looking for a highly skilled

Mid to Senior Data Engineer

to join our team and support a key project involving the migration of data from a

legacy data platform to a Snowflake Data Warehouse . This role is deeply technical, with a strong emphasis on designing, building, and optimising modern data pipelines using Snowflake and Azure services.

About you: To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

Several years of experience as a Data Engineer

Strong hands-on experience with

Snowflake

(warehousing, SQL, performance tuning, tasks, streams, etc.)

Proficiency with

Azure services

such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Functions, and Key Vault

Experience with

Azure Data Factory or dbt, or Logic apps

(at least one required)

Solid understanding of

ETL/ELT principles

and data modelling

Experience working with

legacy data platforms or enterprise data extraction/integration tools

(preferred)

Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets

Familiarity with

CI/CD workflows

for data pipelines (advantageous)

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

In this role, you will:

Design and build scalable pipelines to support the migration from a legacy data platform to Snowflake

Develop and optimise ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory or dbt

Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and develop robust data models

Manage and optimise data transformations and processing following Snowflake best practices

Implement monitoring, validation, and alerting to ensure data quality and reliability

Troubleshoot pipeline issues to maintain high availability and performance

Contribute to improving engineering standards, documentation, and workflows
