PanAust Limited is an Australian-headquartered copper and gold mining company with operations in Laos, and pre-development assets in Papua New Guinea and Chile.

In

Laos , PanAust owns a 90 per cent interest in Phu Bia Mining Limited with the Government of Laos owning the remaining 10 per cent. Phu Bia Mining owns and operates PanAust’s two award winning operations – Phu Kham Copper-Gold and Ban Houayxai Gold-Silver, both located in Xaisomboun Province, 120km north of Vientiane.

In

Papua New Guinea , PanAust holds a 100 per cent interest in the Frieda River Limited Copper-Gold project, which is a transformative pre-development integrated mining, renewable energy and infrastructure project.

In

Chile , PanAust holds a 66 per cent interest in the Inca de Oro Copper-Gold Project through a Chilean incorporated joint venture company, Inca de Oro S. A.

The Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Communications Advisor to join our team, based in our Corporate Head Office in Fortitude Valley’s James Street precinct.

The Corporate Communications Advisor will support the development and delivery of PanAust’s communication strategy, enhancing the company’s visibility and reputation through strategic media engagement, compelling content creation, and impactful brand promotion across events and key platforms.

The role will initially be offered on a 18 month fixed term basis, working part time for 2-3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities include:

Support the development and delivery of internal and external communication strategies, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.

Identify and shape compelling stories by collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to showcase key projects, achievements and initiatives.

Create and deliver engaging, on-brand content across multiple channels, including press materials, internal communications, speeches, presentations and video content.

Partner with senior leaders and key stakeholders (including GMs and our Shareholder) to gather insights and support effective communication outcomes.

Drive consistent messaging and brand integrity across all corporate communications, ensuring alignment with brand voice and guidelines.

Support change management and major engagement initiatives, including company updates and Town Hall events.

Monitor and evaluate communication effectiveness, track performance metrics, support reporting, and leverage tools and technologies to continuously improve impact.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates who have:

Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field

Proven experience in corporate communications, media, public relations or a related discipline, ideally within a complex or multi-stakeholder organisation.

Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver internal and external communication initiatives that enhance brand visibility and reputation.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing a range of content including press releases, speeches, presentations, social content and executive communications.

Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence working alongside senior leaders and cross-functional teams to gather insights and shape key messages.

Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva is highly desired.
