The Opportunity
We're seeking a
Senior Consultant – Crisis Management
to join our Melbourne-based team.
Reporting to the
Chief Operations Officer , you'll play a key role in delivering crisis management and business continuity engagements for our clients, including executive workshops, training, planning, and exercises—along with on‑call advisory support during crisis activations.
This role suits someone who thrives in a consulting environment, can work confidently with senior stakeholders, and values practical, high‑quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver crisis management and business continuity consulting engagements across client accounts.
Facilitate client workshops and executive training sessions, tailoring content to client needs.
Lead business continuity planning activities, including business impact analyses, continuity planning, recovery strategy development, and client workshops.
Provide on‑call crisis advisory support during client crisis activations.
Manage engagement delivery end-to-end (planning, coordination, project administration).
Contribute to the development and evolution of Left of Boom IP, including crisis plans, training content, training programs and exercise products.
Support client relationship management and service standards that protect and grow our reputation for practical and engaging delivery.
Contribute to marketing and thought leadership through content such as blogs and social posts.
About You
You bring demonstrated consulting capability and or confidence operating in complex environments, with strengths in training, communication, stakeholder engagement, and delivery discipline.
You'll likely have
Demonstrated consulting experience, including work on complex engagements and/or background in defence, emergency management, or related operational environments.
Professional services background with experience across various consulting disciplines is preferred for this role.
Strong facilitation skills and experience delivering workshops and training to senior audiences.
Demonstrated experience delivering business continuity planning work, with the ability to guide clients through end‑to‑end BC lifecycle activities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation and report‑writing capability.
Strong organisation and adaptability to meet the dynamic demands of crisis‑related work.
Comfort using digital tools and systems (including Microsoft suite).
The judgement and professionalism to engage credibly with executives and defend a company position when required.
Requirements
Police check (essential).
Ability to meet role requirements and comply with relevant policies and legislative obligations.
