Through year-end with potential extensions Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cyber Security Engineer III to join a growing cybersecurity team focused on strengthening cloud platform security and compliance in a dynamic financial services environment. The engineer will play a key role in implementing and enhancing cloud-native security controls, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and addressing findings from recent audits. Key Responsibilities: Develop security control requirements for public cloud platform services (primarily AWS). Partner with vulnerability management teams to design and implement cloud container vulnerability scanning processes. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to develop protocols for container image hygiene and remediation. Drive development and implementation of Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) strategies. Map CSPM policies to regulatory compliance frameworks and industry standards. Support cloud governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) efforts to ensure sustainable and auditable security practices. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of documentation and reporting processes related to cloud security. Required Qualifications: Proven experience developing and implementing security control requirements in public cloud platforms. Deep understanding of compliance frameworks relevant to financial services (e.g., NIST, ISO, PCI, SOC 2). Hands-on experience with CSPM tools and custom policy development. Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while actively contributing to team efforts. Preferred Qualifications: Strong expertise in AWS security principles and architecture. Experience in container security, including vulnerability scanning and remediation workflows. Familiarity with GRC tools and processes related to cloud environments. Security certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, CISA, CISSP, or equivalent. Experience with cloud container platforms (e.g., ECS, EKS, Docker) is a plus. Additional Information: Seniority level
