As part of Newrest’s growth plans in

Australia , we are launching the recruitment of a

General Manager

to lead our operations in this dynamic market. This strategic role will drive the development of our activities in Remote Site Management for the Energy & Mining sectors and Facility Management services, ensuring operational excellence and client satisfaction.

With a strong international track record serving mining camps, oil & gas operations, and remote infrastructure projects, Newrest aims to bring its operational excellence, safety culture, and service innovations to the Australian market.

To ensure the success of this strategic development and to build a solid foundation for future growth, we are seeking an experienced General Manager who can lead our local operations, drive commercial performance, and uphold Newrest’s standards from day one. This role will be instrumental in establishing Newrest as a trusted partner to Australia’s mining, energy and FM industries. While the position will preferably be based in Perth, Brisbane or Melbourne can also be considered.

Mission

To follow and implement Newrest Group’s strategy in this new market

Ensure compliance with contractual commitments between Newrest, its customers and clients

Ensure the best operational management of the remote site and supervise procurement and production

Strengthen commercial development

Ensure financial efficiency through group's approach toward P&L and balance sheet dynamics

Supervise recruitment and build a strong team to support the ramp-up in the country

Lead, manage, train and support teams

As the GM Australia will report directly to the COO at the Head Office in France

Minimum 7 years of managerial experience in Australia, with proven leadership in complex environments

Strong knowledge of the Energy and Mining sector in Australia

Background in service-oriented businesses, such as catering, remote site management, and/or facility management

Sound managerial judgment and effective financial oversight, ensuring operational efficiency and profitability

Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with the Group’s matrix functions

Pragmatic and results-driven, with a clear aversion to unnecessary bureaucracy
