OSS Systems (UK) has partnered with Smart-OSS in Australia to launch a proven global operational software platform into the Australian hospitality market. With hundreds of installations across the UK, Africa and Europe, our cloud-based system integrates with PMS, using an API interface, to transform hotel operations, asset management and service performance.
The Australian branch, Smart-OSS, is seeking an experienced, commercially driven
National Sales Manager
to lead the Australian market rollout and build our national client base, with a focus on established Hotel Chains already using the Software in the UK.
This is a revenue-focused leadership role, not an internal operations position. You will be responsible for driving new business, opening enterprise accounts, and establishing Smart-OSS as a leading operational platform across hotels and hospitality groups.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the shareholders, this is a national, hands-on, sales leadership role suited to a commercially driven professional with senior-level experience in the hotel and hospitality sector. You will bring a strong understanding of day-to-day hotel operations, including staff management, asset maintenance and cost control, and be able to translate that operational insight into compelling business cases for technology adoption.
In addition to hospitality experience, you must have a demonstrable track record of generating revenue, building relationships with decision-makers, and closing enterprise-level deals. While software development skills are not required, you will need the capacity to quickly understand our solutions, articulate their operational and financial benefits, and confidently position them within a competitive market.
While a tertiary qualification is valued, real-world operational experience in hotels and hospitality will be the key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the national sales strategy and oversee the Australian market launch
Drive new business acquisition across hotel groups and hospitality operators
Manage day-to-day sales and marketing activities, ensuring operational and financial goals are met
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close
Represent the brand and build relationships with key industry stakeholders
Promote and sell the Smart-OSS software to potential clients
Drive recruitment and onboarding of additional staff as the company grows
What Weโre Looking For
Senior operational experience in hotels and/or hospitality (essential)
Proven track record in B2B sales, ideally in hospitality technology, SaaS, PMS, facilities or operational systems
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and resources
Understanding of operational cost control and asset management
Commercial mindset with the ability to identify and act on opportunities
Willingness to learn the product and advocate for its benefits to customers
