We are now seeking a commercially astute finance leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and help guide Vili’s through its next stage of strategic growth and development.

About the Role Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, the CFO will lead the Finance function and take full accountability for financial management across Vili’s Family Bakery and its associated entities.

This is an opportunity for an experienced senior finance leader to step into a broad, enterprise-level role across a multi-site manufacturing and hospitality operation. The position oversees financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow and working capital, capital expenditure, audit and statutory compliance, and banking relationships.

Working closely with operational leaders, the CFO will translate financial data into clear commercial insight – strengthening margins, improving cost control and supporting disciplined capital investment.

The role partners directly with the CEO, Advisory Board and Senior Leadership Team, contributing to strategic planning while building governance capability appropriate for a growing family enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

Lead financial strategy aligned to long-term growth, capital planning and succession

Provide accurate, timely management reporting and clear performance insight to the CEO and leadership team

Strengthen financial controls, governance frameworks and regulatory compliance

Lead year‑end processes and manage external audit and statutory reporting

Partner with operational leaders on budgeting, forecasting and margin performance

Oversee cashflow, working capital and credit management

Lead and develop the finance team, building capability and accountability

Optimise financial systems and reporting platforms to support scalable, multi‑site growth.

Selection Criteria

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting or Commerce

CA or CPA qualification (essential)

Demonstrated senior finance leadership experience (CFO or equivalent/emerging)

Experience in manufacturing, food production, hospitality or multi‑site operations (highly regarded)

Strong capital management capability and established banking relationships

Solid knowledge of Australian accounting standards, taxation and statutory reporting

Proven track record of improving margins, cash flow and operational performance

Experience presenting to Boards or Advisory Committees

Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high‑performing finance teams

Ability to communicate complex financial matters clearly and with impact
